Hendrickson to present new suspension systems and components at the IAA Commercial Vehicles 2016
IAA 2016 – Hendrickson will display a mix of new and proven technologies that meet the diverse requirements of truck, bus and trailer manufacturers, fleets and operators in markets worldwide.
At IAA Commercial Vehicles in Hanover, Germany, Hendrickson will display their latest developments in suspension systems for truck, bus, and trailer applications for today’s global commercial vehicle industry. “The global transportation industry presents exciting opportunities for truck, bus and trailer manufacturers who offer specialized suspension systems and components designed to meet the needs of their specific region. We continue to provide these solutions to OEMs around the world as we look to expand our footprint especially in Europe” explains Gary Gerstenslager, Hendrickson president and CEO.
The latest developments to be presented at the IAA include:
STEERTEK NXT
At IAA 2016 Hendrickson will be presenting STEERTEK NXT a durable and lightweight axle alternative; providing up to 18.1 kg of weight savings compared to traditional forged I-beam axles. The unique fabricated front steer axle design platform enables multiple axle configurations for vocational truck applications. STEERTEK NXT features a rigid axle beam for reliable strength combined with ease of maintenance. Complete suspension and axle system efficiency can be further optimized through components integration with Hendrickson spring and elastomer technology.
LUXAIR
A world premiere at the Hendrickson stand in hall 26 will be the preview of the premium drive axle air suspension ideal for transit and coach bus applications. Utilising Hendrickson’s expertise in vehicle dynamics, this suspension can package with a variety of air springs and shock absorbers to ensure optimal performance no matter the application. The fabricated construction allows for flexibility, simplifying packaging for a variety of frame types and body styles. The efficient design also results in a lightweight solution that maintains the durability and performance expected in demanding transit and coach applications.
